Camping Arleblanc<\/span><\/h3><\/span>

Domaine Arleblanc, in Rosi\u00e8res, has a fascinating history. The name Arleblanc comes from the white cliffs along the La Beaume River. Initially, the valley contained 160 hectares of walnut orchards. Around the year 730, the Arabs arrived from Spain and began cultivating the Arleblanc estate. In 739, Charles Martel successfully fought against the Arabs in Rosi\u00e8res. From that time on, the estate fell into the hands of a monastic order. They founded a monastery with watchtowers for their defense.<\/p>\n

In the 16th century, Rosi\u00e8res and Joyeuse flourished thanks to agriculture. Livestock breeding, viticulture, chestnut growing, and the silk industry brought prosperity. The Arleblanc estate came into the hands of the Viscount de Tardy de Montravel De la Brossy. He had a second wing added to the main building with beautiful stone vaults, surrounded by a park with a paddle wheel.<\/p>\n

The magnificent lime and walnut trees that provide wonderful shade in our village square date from that time. The current family settled in Arleblanc in 1887. Agriculture provided prosperity until 1969. In 1970, with declining agricultural income, the decision was made to focus on tourism. And now you as well discover that this decision was the right one!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Here you’ll find an abundance of local produce, such as fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, charcuterie, honey, olive oil, and artisanal products.
