Ardèche Piemonte

Located in the heart of the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park, Camping Domaine Arleblanc offers an endless network of hiking trails and routes.

The Ardèche foothills and the impressive Tanargue Massif, less well-known to the general public, offer incredible panoramas.

Here, the landscape constantly changes as you explore: you’ll trek past vast meadows, dense chestnut forests, wild gorges, and clear, refreshing rivers, interspersed with mountain landscapes and scattered villages with authentic stone houses.

Far from the hustle and bustle, the Ardèche foothills offer a radical change of scenery, pure wonder, and a welcome breath of fresh air.

The Ardèche Mountains

Land of Volcanoes and Epic Panoramas
The Ardèche Mountains, a land of ancient volcanoes and the birthplace of the Loire River, offer a wild, unspoiled landscape. This is a popular destination for everyone, from the casual hiker to the seasoned trekker.

You’ll find a wide variety of routes here: whether you opt for a leisurely stroll, a day trip, or—for the more adventurous—a multi-day trek along the GR7, the long-distance trail that follows the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

What all these routes have in common is breathtaking scenery. Meadows, majestic mountains, volcanic peaks, sparkling lakes, and crystal-clear rivers will enhance your journey.

The absolute highlight is Mont Gerbier de Jonc, the symbol of the source of the Loire River. From its summit, at 1,551 meters, you can enjoy a unique 360° panorama during a hike along the GR3 trail.

Gorges de l’Ardèche

Discover the wild beauty of the Gorges de l’Ardèche
Imagine: a dramatic gorge, carved by the Ardèche River, surrounded by steep limestone cliffs. This is the Gorges de l’Ardèche, one of France’s most remarkable natural areas. Since 1980, this area has been protected as a National Nature Reserve, a status that safeguards its unique flora and fauna.

The tourist route through the Gorges de l’Ardèche is a must-do for anyone visiting the region. The Gorges de l’Ardèche are home to an impressive diversity of plants and animals. From rare orchids to majestic birds of prey, every corner of this nature reserve is teeming with life. Stroll through the fragrant garrigue, where lavender and thyme fill the air with their aroma.

Spot rare butterflies and dragonflies, or listen to birdsong. Whether you’re an experienced climber, an avid hiker, or simply looking for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature, the Gorges de l’Ardèche have something for everyone. Rent a canoe and paddle under the impressive Pont d’Arc, or explore the caves and gorges on a caving trip. For those who love heights, there are numerous opportunities for climbing and abseiling.
